Prices in US dollars. Payments are processed by Creem, who act as the merchant of record and collect any VAT or sales tax due. Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not carry over.
Common questions
Do I need to be on a web page to use Vela?
No. Vela is a full AI assistant — chat, write and brainstorm on any tab, even a blank one. When you want, it can also read the page or PDF you're viewing and answer about it.
Which AI models are included?
Twelve models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and ByteDance — see the full list. Free accounts get three everyday models; paid plans unlock all of them.
What is a credit?
A credit is the unit Vela bills in. Every answer costs credits based on the model you used and how much text it read. The panel shows each model's cost before you choose it, and what each answer cost afterwards.
Does Vela read my pages in the background?
No. Nothing is sent anywhere until you ask a question or press a button. Vela asks permission before it can read pages at all, and a switch in the panel keeps the current page out of a conversation. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from the billing portal linked in the extension's account panel or from the support page. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Which browsers does it work in?
Google Chrome, version 116 or newer. Vela uses Chrome's side panel and sign-in, so it is Chrome-only for now.
Is my content used to train AI models?
Vela does not train models on your data. Content is passed to the model provider only to produce your answer. See Privacy for who processes what.
